I just saw this pic like a few days ago and thought... I'm going to critique it at the end of the week if no one have critiqued it yet!
now I see that no one have made a critique and for me is a great honor to be the firts to do it!!
so... I'm not a great photographer and I don't have much knowledge about it, I just started taking pics for fun, is going to make 2 years now, and I still have ALOT to learn... but as anyone else I have my ideas, likes and dislikes...
And I have to say that the moment I oppened my deviations inbox, and saw this pic in the tiny square I just thought this was some kind of toy or something... that this cat was not real at all! maybe because of the high contrast in the focused area that in small view trick us! at least it tricked me!
I'm really curious and oppened it and saw it in full view! and have to say to you payton that it left me mind blown
so the angle of the pic, the composition and the focuse are great!! the black and white fits like a glove! (it's a portuguese expression! ) the high contrast is something that I really love, gives some kind of a mysterious look to the cat's eyes! It almost looks like he have eyeliner!
this cat is SO near!!! I don't know how you made it! you really caught this cat in the right moment at the right time! I tried to take some cat pics and they never stop! they are always like moving around us... -.-
this is the 2nd critique that I make and I just have to give you all the stars! you had the vision! the originality (I never saw anything like this before!) the technique! (just look at it! ) and the impact is obvious! I hope you think I'm being fair with you
just to finish, I really feel watched when I look at this pic
and really feel like if I am behind the camera taking the pic!and if he was really close to the lens!
Payton please keep the lovely and amazing work that you made us used to!
I could have worked on the contrast some more, and I think it might have worked better if I filled more of the frame, but I'm glad you liked it so much.
how can this be possible?!?!
